Terms & Conditions
DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
A 100% deposit is required at the time of reservation to secure your booking.
No reservation is considered confirmed until the full deposit has been received.
Any additional amount arising from an approved change to the reservation, including a change in room rate, must be paid at the time the change is made.
CANCELLATION
If you cancel your reservation at least 72 hours before the scheduled check-in time of 1:00 pm, we will refund 50% of the total reservation amount paid.
For example, for a check-in on 10 January at 1:00 pm, cancellation must be received no later than 1:00 pm on 7 January to qualify for the 50% refund.
If you cancel less than 72 hours before the scheduled check-in time, no refund will be given.
Refunds are not dependent on whether we are subsequently able to resell the accommodation.
For overseas guests, refunds can only be made where we are legally and practically able to process the payment. Where a refund cannot be returned through the original payment method, we may require details of an Indian bank account.
Any approved refund will generally be processed within 8–10 working days.
Reservations are not transferable to another person.
If you decide to leave before your scheduled check-out date, no refund will be given for the unused nights.
Note: You must notify us of your intention to cancel via email our email info@royaltouchresort.com (not via phone)
CHANGE OF DATES
Guests may request a change to their reservation dates, subject to availability and the following date-change charges:
- More than 21 days before check-in: 20% of the original reservation value
- 8–21 days before check-in: 35% of the original reservation value
- 4–7 days before check-in: 50% of the original reservation value
- 0–3 days before check-in: 100% of the original reservation value
The relevant charge is calculated according to the date on which the change request is received.
A date change is only confirmed once the applicable date-change charge and any additional amount due have been paid.
The new reservation dates must normally fall within the same operating season as the original reservation. Our season generally ends when the resort closes for the monsoon, usually around the end of May.
The accommodation rate applicable to the new dates will apply where that rate is higher than the original reservation rate.
If the rate for the new dates is lower than the original reservation rate, the original reservation rate will continue to apply, and no refund or reduction will be given.
Any additional amount due as a result of the new dates or applicable rates must be paid in full at the time the date change is confirmed.
A date change does not reset or extend the cancellation terms. Once dates have been changed, any subsequent cancellation will be subject to the cancellation policy based on the revised reservation dates.
NO SHOW
If you do not arrive for your reservation, no refund will be given.
If you do not arrive on the scheduled check-in date and have not informed us of a delay, we will normally hold the accommodation until check-out time the following morning. After this time, we reserve the right to cancel the remainder of the reservation without refund.
CANCELLATION BY THE RESORT
If we are unable to honour your reservation due to unforeseen circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as government restrictions or a forced closure, we will normally offer one of the following options:
- alternative accommodation at one of our other resorts, where available;
- transfer of the amount paid to alternative dates within an agreed period; or
- another appropriate solution depending on the circumstances.
These provisions apply only where the resort is unable to provide the accommodation booked and do not apply where the guest chooses to cancel.
Booking Conditions
GUESTS ARE ADVISED TO OBTAIN COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE
We advise guests to plan and research their holiday and where possible obtain comprehensive insurance to cover any/all travel-associated risks, as the resort accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation/refund any money where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extremely adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, unforeseen infestation, flight cancellation/schedule alterations, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility services, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION (PLEASE SEE OUR FULL “PRIVACY POLICY”)
We will not knowingly give your personal information to anybody else (except where required to do so by authorities). We will retain your information and from time to time we may contact you with our promotional and resort-related information.
CHILDREN & EXTRA GUESTS
EXTRA CHILDREN POLICY
We consider children to be between 3-12 years old, and if you have 2 or more children above this age we would recommend that you reserve another cottage and we will try and keep both cottages next to each other.
Children below 2 years of age and below are free if they share their parent’s bed.
For each child, there is a nightly charge (this will be applied automatically when you reserve and inform us about your children) and it is assumed that children may share their parent’s bed, we can provide only one extra bed in the cottage as there is limited space. The extra bed is free. If you have more than one child please let us know and we will make the reservation for you. The extra person charge will apply, but we will only be able to provide one extra bed in total.
Some cottages are not suitable for extra people (above 2 people). When reserving you will see the option for extra people against the cottage category if it is possible. It is not always possible to add extra people after making the reservation so kindly add any additional people when making the reservation.
EXTRA ADULT POLICY
We prefer for there to be only two adults in each cottage as it helps to prevent an overcrowded resort and maintain a peaceful environment. (Guests aged 13 years or above are considered adults).
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT POLICY
Check-In from: 1:00 PM
Check-Out before: 11:00 AM
Our earliest check-in time is 1pm and check-out is before 11am. I am sorry but we have to be fairly strict about times because most guests do not leave until the last possible moment and also want to check-in as soon as possible.
You are welcome to ask if early check-in or a late check-out is possible when you are with us and our staff team will advise you depending upon our occupancy.
Hotel Policy
COTTAGE POSITION
When you reserve, you will be given the type of cottage that you select and not a specific cottage.
RESERVATION DATES & REQUIREMENTS
We will email you confirmation of your deposit payment and your reservation details. It is your responsibility to check the confirmation for accurate dates, room types and amounts and advise us of any inaccuracies or omissions.
CHECK-OUT ON TIME
Guests will be required to check-out on time before 11am or you will be charged for another day. We politely insist that you leave by 11am so that we have time to clean the room ready for the next guests check-in.
PETS
I am sorry but we have to say no to pets.
Although we love animals, we have to say no because there are local beach dogs that are territorial and will attack dogs from outside. We also respect that some guests may have allergies or be uncomfortable staying near animals.
ACCESSIBILITY 0R SPECIAL NEEDS
Although our cottages only have a couple of steps, because of the surrounding terrain they can be difficult to access for people with limited mobility. That said, with your permission we are willing and happy to assist under your direction. There is a spectrum of needs, so please feel welcome to discuss with us any assistance or information you may need.
FOOD & DRINK
Breakfast is complimentary (a limited set breakfast) at all our resorts. Guests are not allowed to bring outside food/drinks or alcoholic drinks into the resort.
RESORT EVENTS & LOCAL FESTIVITIES
Occasionally we have local Goan dancers or Indian classical music for our guests, we do not allow loud music and try to maintain a peaceful resort. However, we have no control over the noise that may be generated by religious festivals such as Holi and Ganesha. Also on occasion, our neighbours or others in the area may have a celebration which we must tolerate or embrace.
FORCE MAJEURE
We are exempt from fulfilling our contractual obligations for causes that could not be anticipated and/or are beyond our control. Such as and may include an act of God, act of Man, act of Parliament, and other impersonal events or occurrences. The before said, we have integrity and will endeavour to provide you with the services mentioned and hopefully exceed your expectations.
NATURE & WEATHER
Some circumstances are beyond our reasonable control including, unseasonable/adverse or extreme weather that may have an impact on the resort or its surroundings by way of flooding etc. This may affect the local beach and the ability to swim or enjoy the beach as anticipated at the time of booking.
RESORT INFORMATION
We regularly update our websites and printed information but, from time to time due to changes in facilities, the environment or updates to the resort and cottages the text and or photographs may not be a current exact representation. We do not inform future guests of updates and upgrades to the cottages, resort or surroundings.
